PROMOTING FISHING TO THE YOUNG AND OLD
RULES

Application for membership is ONLY open to anyone within the area of Wakefield ward 16. Prospective members must prove their place of residence to the club secretary or other official making them a member.

If wishing to join, membership is granted upon a completed application form and acceptance of club rules, constitution and the annual subscription payment, membership only allows 1 person to fish per permit.

Bailiffs appointed by the Board, may carry out rod licence and membership identification checks. Membership cards and I.D must be carried at all times when fishing.

No member is to fish without a valid E.A. (Environment Agency), rod licence. Eligible from twelve years and over.

Children between the ages of 5 & 12 years MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Members and their guests shall conduct themselves at all times, in the spirit of sportsmanship and not interfere with the enjoyment of others around the waters.

Due to the dangerous and uncertain nature of the waters, wading is not permitted.

Anglers shall ensure that all waste is disposed of correctly and not left in/or around pegs to contaminate the local environment.

Cars must be parked in designated car parking areas and not block the walkways. (STRICTLY NO CAMPERVANS)

Night fishing will only be permitted with the agreement of the club officials.

No live bait allowed until after the 1st October.

All fish caught MUST be returned to the clubs waters.

No carp to be kept in Slings (unless sick or injured),this must be reported to the head bailiff immediately.

When collecting key for gate, YOU will be held responsible for locking the gate on entering and exiting the Southern Washlands Fisheries, and must return it after you have left the lake.

No liability will be accepted by WMDC or Eastmoor Angling Club for any injury or accident sustained by its member’s, their guests or general public whilst visiting the fisheries. Members, their guests and children who enter such areas do so at their own risk. Similarly the officials of the club accept no liability for damage to or loss of property belonging to members, guest, children or the general public.

The Board reserves the right to amend the rules from time to time as necessary and will inform the members at the next AGM. If amendments to the constitution are to be made, then 2/3 of members present at the AGM must vote in favour of the change or changes. These changes will be binding by all from the point they are changed and published.
